I don’t know where the occupy movement is going but i know I want it to be there. As the economy continues to tank – we need a space to discuss alternative visions. I like the simple 1% / 99% message. When I attended there were so many causes being discussed – leaping from palestine, to banking regulations to womens rights.

The best tool I know for pulling people together is art – music/ theatre/ poetry/ literature. I’m excited to see the launch of occupation records. Where are the musicians inspiring the masses? Or, rather than preach, should they talk on a personal level and let people come to their own conclusions? Or can they do both – we have the talent, let’s hope people get to hear it!

I had a go at creating a speakeasy before christmas. I’d love to have another go: music like this, a cat, late night cards, secret entrance and password, loads of candles, wine,bread and cheese. . .
